In September 2008 Cheeks and I started taking pictures photo shoot style. Over the course of ten months we did ten “sessions” where I took pictures of him (and sometimes Frankie). There was always at least one of him sitting on the sofa in the picture above, and then a number of him in some kind of other setting. I published my 15 favorite pictures from each of nine of those sessions (you can relive the fun here), but I never published the tenth and final set of pictures taken the week before his first birthday. With his first birthday party quickly approaching I never found the time to put them together.
All 150 of those pictures have just been sitting around in my iPhoto, so I did something about it. I went through the 15 pictures from each of the ten sets and selected the ten pictures that I liked the most, one sofa picture and nine others, and made a book: Photo Shoot Tuesdays: a photographic chronicle

Virginia, you love personalized plates. Fortunately, your two hour morning commute gives you plenty of time to think up something clever, or admire the wit of the person in front of you. Here are some of my favorites:

To Do Today:
1. Find a place to live.
2. Teach Cheeks the most confusing (I guess) letters of the alphabet (X & N, C & D).
3. Don’t have a toddler style melt down and lock myself in the bathroom with a pint of coconut ice cream and a spoon.
4. Make a list of summer goals, hopefully ensuring enough good feeling to make #3 happen (or not happen? huh.)

Me: That’s the Taj Mahal.
Him: I wanna go to the Maj Mahal.
Me: Me too, kiddo.
Him: When Daddy gets home we can go?
