Please Pardon Our Virtual Dust

Jan 30 2010 Published by Eve under Unsorted

Those changes I mentioned earlier?  We’re working on that.  Which is why things might seem a little wonky around here.  We hope it won’t take much longer.

To Tom: Sorry about the excessive mobile alerts.  Put your phone on vibrate and you can thank us later.

Time Measurements Aren’t The Only Relative Terms We Throw Around Here

Jan 28 2010 Published by Eve under Unsorted

I plan to post a few more of the changes taking place around this house in the last month or so (and quite a few that are yet to come).  If only I had infinite free time…*dream*

Our home is not the only space on the receiving end of a sprucing up!  Look for some blog changes coming soon.  Soon being relative, of course.  It seems that WordPress is in fact the better man, having bested me in all of my attempts this week to make my visions become a reality.

Still…Never fear!  I have called in the cavalry, and help is on the way.

A Little Change

Jan 18 2010 Published by Eve under Unsorted

Cody and I decided that each month this year we are going to change the way we do one thing, hoping to make some new habits for saving a little green and being a little green.  For January we chose to not buy anything new.  There have been exceptions, a couple of new baby and birthday gifts for example, but in all it’s been super easy for us.

Right after we all started feeling better we wanted to get out of the house but not have to walk around in the cold so, in keeping with our pledge, we went to the local flea market.  (I love the flea market.  LOVE IT.  I always find awesome things.)  This trip we found a ton of stuff.  Some Little People for Cheeks, a few volumes of The Family Creative Workshop, a pink beaded necklace, a riveter (oh yeah! I named it Rosie, so what?), and this…

Ta Da!

Let’s just call it what it is…The bookcase dreams are made of.  Even Mr. Floppy Footies approves (Senor Floppy Socks maybe?? He’s been taking notes from a certain someone).

I see crayons!!

And there’s plenty of room for, not only our books, but also my knitting things, most of my sewing stuff, and Cheeks’ art supplies.  Awesome.  Also, Ewestice, who you can see if you look closely.

Needles! And Yarn!

We bought it to hide the T.V in, but seriously, who needs a T.V when you have this?  I could stare at this thing all day, knitting, sewing, cleaning up finger paints, reading one of my many favorite books, all while sneaking glimpses of this friggin’ bookcase.
