For a while now I’ve been keeping a list of things that E consistently mispronounces. Other foods that are on the list? “Burdito,” “adocado,” and “paincakes.”

Let the paincake jokes begin.

(*We make our burgers with quinoa and sunflower seeds. They’re pretty bomb.)

This little boy of ours started preschool this fall. This picture was taken on his very first day. He was so excited we could hardly get him to stand still.

Me: It’s Thanksgiving Day, is there anything you’re thankful for?
E: Yes.
Me: What are you thankful for?
E: Eating.
